Adult Respite Care

Adult Respite Care

What is Respite Care?

Respite care is a temporary, short term break from the day-to-day challenges of caregiving.

The social respite program allows you, the caregiver, to take valuable time for yourself while your loved one is safe and engaged in a social club. The social respite program also keep loved ones with memory loss connected to their community through fellowship, meaningful activities and fun that enhances their independence and self-esteem.

The social respite program operates Mondays through Thursdays in Summerville and every Wednesday in Harleyville from 10 AM - 1:45 PM.

Participants are welcome regardless of ability to pay. Transportation is available within a 13 mile radius of the Summerville location. *Transportation is only available for the program in Summerville.

Volunteers assist with respite care, often giving one-on-one attention to members.
